Well. Alrighty Then.

I guess if eating a yogurt at midnight after a 10 o’clock run is drastic, then I’m on the right track, eh?

The more I run, the more I feel famished all the time. Like I could eat everything in sight, and not because I even want to eat, I just feel like I’m starving. So I’ll go grab something small, like a piece of fruit or a few carrot sticks, and then can only manage a couple of bites before I feel nauseated and full. Maybe I’m just not drinking enough water?

For Once, I Am *thisclose* to Speechless

Notice only thisclose, but not entirely. This simultaneously makes me want to throw up, punch her in the face, and cry.

Having suffered through a spontaneous miscarriage, as well as a D&C, this is beyond comprehension for me.

What a monstrous human being.

HOME

We found a home. I can not express to you how much I love this little house. I also can not express how much I love the man in it that I must leave behind for 7 long weeks.

Home

No scale today. I am chickening out. We ate terribly all week, and when we weren’t living in IKEA and Lowe’s we were lazing around, clinging to each other and dreading the 5th looming over us. I will face the music tomorrow, because it is surely out of tune.

Dream of Californication

We’re leaving in a few hours. We have no place to stay, no real plans other than: FIND A PLACE TO EFFING LIVE, AND DO IT FAST.

We’ll probably end up sleeping in the car a couple of nights, because I don’t anticipate our apartment search being as smooth and straightforward as it is here in Texas.

We have nothing with us that did not fit into the car. All we have besides that is a lot of prayer. For once in my life, I am certain that it will be enough.

Scale pictures are halted, because trust me when I say there was absolutely no place for the scale to ride except in my lap, and I’m simply not that dedicated to reminding myself I’m fat everyday. Plus even I have limits… if we’re reduced to sleeping in the car, I’m NOT weighing myself in some random parking lot while people stop and stare.

I’m flying back to Texas on April 5th, and if I’m not comatose I’ll try and resume updates on 4/6. Any and all mojo is appreciated.

Clarity

I know I’ve been sketchy and random about the details of, well, all of the stories I have stopped and started. It’s not intentional. I’m not a very good writer, to be honest. Everything in my head is much too random. I’ll have a great, perfectly organized post plotted out in my head, and them once I finally get the time to sit and type it out, it *POOFS* the moment my fingers hit the keys. From that point I manage some sort of half-ass, disjointed post that is basically my raw emotions at that exact moment, and then I publish and walk away to fret over/enjoy life a little more.

It was brought to my attention today after posting my e-mail address on FMH that I actually have several readers! I have to say that I am actually very surprised. I have site stats, but never check them. This blog isn’t about making money for me, so I don’t see the point with bothering with those numbers. I am a little giddy about it, honestly… not like living a wreck of a life deserves attention, but still. I guess it feels nice to know that perfect strangers care in some way. Many of the nicest women (and a couple of men) have e-mailed me to cheer me on, and I want them to know that I am not ignoring you.

I am backlogged in my inbox as well as my brain. I promise that at some point within the next 48 hours I will sit down and respond to e-mail. Until then, thanks, ladies, for reminding me why I miss having strong women in my life so very much. I hope to meet some of you in this life and give you enormous hugs.

And yes, I ate breakfast this morning before taking my scale picture. Last night we attended a birthday party and stayed out much too late, and this morning my fried brain could not locate the camera. I was certain I had left it at the restaurant and it was gone forever, so I cried all morning. Then I found it in the trunk of the car while out running errands this afternoon. For what it’s worth, I weighed 209.9 after eating 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of wheat toast, and a much too large glass of orange juice.

Tonight we’re prearing italian food for some friends, which guarantees I will eat a wee bit too much. Or maybe not. Either way, I am looking forward to next week when I can exercise as I have been and knock this weight back down and out. And not worry about that extra breadstick, because I know I’ll run that bugger off that night anyway.

RIP

I just found out that President Hinckley passed away today.

I feel a profound sense of sadness, and I’m not sure what I’m supposed to “do”.

I’m also completely spooked. DH and I discussed him just this afternoon and I pondered that he would not survive this year, and DH predicted he would make it to 100 years of age.

He was a good man. I always loved hearing him speak at GC’s.
